Gooseberry/Nallikayi Tambuli



Ingredients:

Gooseberry/Nallikayi (Fresh/Frozen) 4
Green chillies 3-4
Pepper corns ½ tsp
Cumin ¼ tsp
Curry leaves ¼ cup
Grated coconut 3-4 tsp
Yogurt/Curd 1 cup
Ghee 1 tsp
Mustard
Water
Salt
Oil

Method:

1. Wash and chop the gooseberries into small pieces.
Don’t use seeds.

2. Heat ghee in a frying pan, fry peppercorns, cumin,
green chillies, curry leaves and gooseberries one by one.
Finally fry grated coconut and switch off the stove. Let it cool.

3. After cooling grind them into smooth paste with
water and salt. Transfer it to a bowl. Now add yogurt and
sufficient water. Mix well. Season it with mustard and curry leaves.

4. Tambuli is ready to serve. It goes well with rice.
