Stuffed Bhendi
Ingredients:
Lady fingers / Bhendi 20 (1/4 kg)
Chilli powder 1-2 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Cumin powder ¼ tsp
Tamarind paste ½ tsp
Mustard
Chopped Onion ½ cup
Peanut 2 tsp
Sugar ½ tsp
Water
Oil
Method:
1. Wash and dry the bhendis. Remove the upper and lower part.
2. Dry roast peanut and powder it.
3. In a bowl take some water and add garam masala, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, tamarind paste, sugar, salt and peanut powder. Mix well. Keep aside.
4. Slit 3/4th part of the bhendis lengthwise. Stuff them with step 3 masala .
5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard. When the mustard splutters add onions, fry them till golden brown.
6. Add stuffed bhendis and cook for 10-15 minutes in low flame. Stir in between.
7. Finally add remaining masala and cook for few minutes.
