Antinunde
Ingredients:
Dry grapes 1/4 kg
Pista 150 gm
Uttutte (dry dates) 1/4 kg
Cashew 1/4 kg
Badam 1/4 kg
Kallu sakkare (rock sugar?) 1/4 kg
Jaggery 1/4 kg
Antu (Edible Gum) 1/4 kg
Dry coconut 2
Ghee 1/4 kg
Dry fig 1/4 kg
Saffron
Above ingredients are must but with this I add 1/2 tsp powdered cardamom, clove, poppy seeds, dry ginger, fenugreek, cumin, pepper, jayikai, japatre and pachekarpura (pinch). You can add any dry fruits with this.
Method:
1. Cut grapes, pista, dates, cashew, badam, coconut, fig into small pieces.
2. Fry each ingredient separately in ghee. (Except jaggery and kallusakkare).
3. Crush each ingredient separately in mixer (just take one/two round) but for gum you have to make it like powder.
4. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl/vessel. Keep aside.
5. Heat jaggery and kallusakkare in a pan till it melts and gets a sticky consistency, now add crushed ingredients, mix well and make balls/unde when it is hot with greased hands.
Note: It is normally given to the mother of new born baby. It gives strength to the waist.
