Hummus is one of the popular Middle Eastern dips.
Ingredients:
Chickpeas 1 cup
Almonds ½ cup (I have used almonds instead of Sesame seeds)
Garlic cloves 2 - 3
Lemon juice ½ cup
Olive oil 4 - 5 tsp
Salt
Method:
1. Wash and soak the chickpeas overnight and pressure cook with salt and ½ cup water.
2. Soak almonds for 1 hr in hot water and remove the skin.
3. Combine cooked chickpeas, almonds, lemon juice, garlic cloves and olive oil in a blender and blend into smooth paste.
4. Serve with Pita Chips.
Note: Hummus can be stored in refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
