Instant Paan/Beeda

 
 
 
 
Ingredients:
 
Betel leaves 4-5
Areca nut 3-4
Dried coconut pieces ½ tsp
Cardamom 1
Cloves 2
Rock candy/Kallu sakkare 1 tsp
Fennel seeds ¼ tsp
Slaked Lime (sunna/chuna) –Calcium hydroxide ¼ tsp
Turmeric pinch (optional)
Nutmeg/Jaikai powder pinch(optional)
 
Method:
 
1. Crush betel leaves, areca nut, cardamom, cloves, rock
candy, fennel seeds separately using mortar and pestle.
 
2. Chop dried coconut into small pieces.

3. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Store in an air tight jar and refrigerate for 2-3 days.

4. Eat a teaspoon of instant paan after lunch or dinner.
Note: Eating paan helps to eliminate bad breath.
