Ganjee/Rice Porridge

 
 


Ingredients:

Raw Rice 1 cup
Water 4-6 cups
Salt
Cardamom powder pinch (optional)
Grated coconut 1-2 tsp (optional)


Method:

1. Wash the rice 2-3 times.

2. Take washed rice and water in a large vessel and let it

boil. Add salt.

3. Once the rice cooked completely (should be cooked very

soft), add grated coconut and cardamom powder. Cook for
another 5 minutes in low heat. Switch off the stove.

4. Serve Ganjee with ghee/butter, pickle, any sabzi or

chutney.
