Taro Root Chips
Ingredients:
Taro Root 4
2-3 tsp Oil
2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt
Method:
1. Boil Taro root (kesuvina gedde) in water till they become tender (nearly 30 to 40 min in high flame). Remove the outer skin and cut each into half-inch thickness.
2. In a bowl combine oil, salt, red chilli powder, garlic powder and turmeric powder.
3. Apply this on both side of Taro root pieces. Spread them in rows on a foil covered baking tray and bake them at 350 F for 10 min.
4. Broil each side for about 2 to 5 min until they are golden brown.
5. OR fry them on tava instead of baking and broiling (step 3 & 4).
