Mushroom Masala



Ingredients:

Button Mushrooms 1/4 kg
Onion (chopped) 1 large
Tomato (chopped) 1 large 
Minced Ginger 1 tsp
Minced Garlic 1 tsp
Cloves 2-3
Cinnamon 1” stick
Anistar small piece
Bay leaf 1
Curry leaf 1 strand

Green chillies chopped 4-5
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp

Cumin powder 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Crushed peppercorns 1/4 tsp
Cilantro (chopped) 1 cup

Butter 1/2 - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil

Method:

1. Wash and chop the mushrooms, chop tomato and onion. Keep aside.

2. Heat Butter in a pan, fry the mushroom and cook with little salt till all the water evaporates. Transfer into a bowl.


3. Heat oil or butter in same pan add cloves, cinnamon, anistar, bay leaf, cumin seeds, cumin powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and crushed peppercorns. Fry them. Add  green chillies fry them. Add ginger and garlic fry them. Add onions and fry them till transparent. Add turmeric powder mix well.

4. Now add curry leaves fry them. Add tomatoes and little salt. Cook for few minutes.

5. Once tomato gets cooked, add mushroom and cilantro mix well. Add little water and cook for 5 minutes in medium heat.


6. Mushroom masala goes well with dosa, chapati, rotti, rice etc.
