Date - Tamarind Chutney



Ingredients:

Date/Kharjoora 10-12
Water 1 cup
Tamarind pulp ¼ cup
Jaggery ½ - 1cup
Red chilli powder ¼ - ½ tsp
Cumin powder ¼ tsp
Dry ginger powder ¼ tsp
Salt

Method:

 1. Soak the tamarind in water and extract the juice. Keep aside.

2. Boil water in a pan, add chopped date. Cook till it becomes tender.

3. Add tamarind juice, jaggery, red chilli powder, cumin powder, dry ginger powder and salt. Cook till the mixture becomes thicker (jam consistency).

4. Sweet, Sour and Spicy Date - Tamarind chutney is ready. Store it in refrigerator.

Note: Serve this chutney with pakoda, kachori, pani puri, samosa, dabeli etc. Adjust the ingredients as per your taste.
