Roasted Brussels Sprouts




Ingredients:

Brussels sprouts 15-20
Olive oil 1-2 tsp
Crushed peppercorns ¼ - ½ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp

Method:

1. Cut off the brown ends, remove the outer yellow leaves and wash the Brussels sprouts. Make a slit at the center of Brussels sprouts.

2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

3. Combine Brussels sprouts, crushed peppercorns, olive oil and salt. Mix well.

4. Transfer them on a foil covered baking tray and roast for 35-45 minutes or till it becomes brown and tender. [10 minutes once remove the tray from the oven and shake to brown the Brussels sprouts evenly].

5. Remove from oven, pour into a bowl and serve.

Note: Do not over cook the Brussels sprouts. Overcooking reduces the anticancerous property.
